The 5 Lane design option proposes to retain the existing 5 lanes of traffic along Lincolnway. Intersections are enhanced with bulb-outs while the existing east-west curbs remain in their existing locations. Mid block bulb-outs are added along the south side of Lincolnway within the parallel parking zone. To the north of Lincolnway parking spaces are added to the north-south feeder streets to help alleviate parking issues for the downtown area. This alternative retains existing tree locations with additional trees to be added for a more uniform effect.

Highlights:
- No change in drive time.
- Average street crossing distance at Lincolnway would be reduced by 2 feet.
- Average street crossing distance at side streets would be reduced by 8.8 feet.
- Average sidewalk width would be increased by .7 feet.
- There would be an additional 40 parking spaces.
