During the 2014 UDC Annual Review, the Planning & Development Office received a proposal to establish design standards for the Central Business District (CBD). Establishing minimum standards for new construction downtown has been a reoccurring recommendation for some time. Implementing design standards in the CBD forms the basis for providing high quality development at the human scale. Ultimately, design standards should help reposition the CBD into a more attractive, walkable, and pedestrian oriented district. We'd like to hear your thoughts on the proposal.
