  • Shape Cheyenne
Zoning codes are land use planning tools used to regulate the location of uses and the physical form of development. Zoning codes aim to promote and preserve the character of a community by shaping growth and guiding new development.

A comprehensive update of Cheyenne’s zoning codes last occurred in 2012. The result was the City’s Unified Development Code (UDC). In an effort to stay abreast of community needs, and opportunities for improvement and change, the City hosts an annual community input session to review and consider updates to the UDC. This effort helps keep codes current and ensures the UDC’s viability and responsiveness over time.

In line with this thinking, the City would like to hear your feedback on some of the proposed zoning changes currently going through City Council. The City’s goal is to involve more community members into the planning process; after all, it is your city and your perspective matters on these very important policy decisions.

Please visit our website (https://www.cheyennecity.org/index.aspx?nid=1824) for information on completed code amendments and our Annual Review work plan.

Everyone is welcome to participate. For more information, contact Logan Graves at lgraves@cheyennecity.org / (307) 637-6352.
