  • Evers Boulevard Road Reconstruction Plan
EVERS BOULEVARD ROAD REHABILITATION 35% DESIGN PLAN ROADWAY AND DRAINAGE ANALYSIS

Ayres Associates of Cheyenne is the planning and engineering consultant firm that was hired to do the analysis and prepare the Evers Plan for the MPO.

The primary goal of this project is to provide a conceptual design for the reconstruction of Evers Boulevard. The street is in generally poor condition and is in need of extensive rehabilitation. The up-coming reconstruction project provides an opportunity to enhance the multi-modal operations of the corridor as well as provide a gateway to the well-established Western Hills neighborhood.

The secondary goal of this project is to determine a storm sewer system design that will improve storm water run-off on Evers Boulevard, west of Bishop Blvd. The proposed storm water improvements should increase the life of the pavement while providing better storm protection for the adjacent properties.

After thorough City staff and public input the consultants will produce a thirty five percent design (preliminary) plan which will be used as a guide for additional road and utility design. Once the Evers Plan is completed the City of Cheyenne will then hire an engineering firm to prepare the final design. Evers is a priority project on the approved tax ballot from the 2015-2018 Optional 1% Sales Tax tentatively scheduled for 2017.
